First Post

Well, I did the unthinkable, and broke a personal promise: started a blog. But don't fear, I have no pretensions toward being some hardcore blogger. Don't get me wrong, blogs are great and they have their place, but it's not for me. I feel dirty as I type this.

This blog is born out of pure pragmatism: a place to quickly post articles and issues without any cost or hassle on my part and, critically, get feedback by way of comments.

With that in mind, my first proper post - the very reason for this blog's coming into existence - will be an explanation of a CSS Positioning bug I've discovered in Firefox 3, less than a week after its release. I needed somewhere to host my test pages and explanation, but wanted to be able to receive comments.

Consider this first post a trial run, a chance for me to get acquainted with blogger.com. Apologies for the distinct lack of anything interesting.
